I want to read vampire books where fun stuff actually happens and the characters are interesting.
So she leaves her dorm and goes off to live with some random 3 people who are really weird. When you write a series as long as this one, one thing you need to learn as an author is how to RECAP. I thought Dezd did some darn stupid things, I think Eve did some stupid things too, and Michael’s choice was certainly Source: Which makes me sad, because there were things I liked about the first book that kept me reading.

It’s organic and real, fostered by an ongoing friendship and growing chemistry. While I really enjoyed the first book of this dnce, I found this one even better as there was more excitement, drama and action – where as Glass Houses had to spend a fair amount of time introducing the characters and how the town works and everything.
This book feels like more of a setup for the series than the first book somehow. Yet again, the answer is no, as she concludes the guys weren’t really monsters. Couldn’t she have gotten a much better college? On to the next!! Her writing doesn’t flow smoothly, and a lot of what she says is ridiculous or doesn’t make any sense. The rachell is portrayed as being of dire significance, and yet once introduced, he pretty much only crops up again in Eve’s diary entry at the conclusion of the book I actually thought the whole diary thing at the end to be a cute touch, and quite liked it.

Things should get a bit more interesting after some of the happenings in this book. When they find out why, all hell is going to break loose. Honestly, it’s about vampires. Readers will enjoy it when Claire’s nemesis, Monica, gets a little of what’s coming to her when the tables are turned and she is put in the victim role.
There appears to be monsters on both sides and Claire must face them both. Now, on to the next book Half the town has turned into their enemies — vampires, police cops and now this biker gang. This book explained all about Shane’s past and told us the reason why his father had such a grudge against the vampires, it also revealed a gruesome fact about Michael which made me feel even more sorry for him.

Old enough that I play with lives like counters in a game. Claire doesn’t fall madly in love with Shane at first sight. That scene is so fucked up and I just can’t forgive it. When I first started this series probably like 5 years ago I liked it.

Claire was a lot more confident this time around, this was great for the reader but not so great for her because it meant that she ended up in even more dangerous situations.
